Water fasting, a sane prospect in 2011?

I’m hearing the call to fast. It sounds less like harping choirs of angels imploring me to set my soul free to dance in the healing dance in the light filled sky and sounds more like Ritz cracker wrappers.

I feel overweight. Although much thinner and healthier than at the start of my last 2 fasts, I still tended (more slowly) to gravitate towards eating poorly. Ebb and flow and after a few years, it’s time to clean house again.

But, again. After all these years of experimenting with fasting, I’ll still have to put up the fear fasting raises in others. It’s much like the McKenna quote about LSD and how LSD has the ability to create fear and panic in the minds of those that have never try it.

Do I think fasting is still a sane practice? Of course! It’s even become one of the only sane refuges of my life.

Thank you ?wompol! I did check out your journal and I highly recommend it to anyone fasting or thinking about fasting. You might be interested in checking out this link that talks about certain stages in fasting. In 3 fasts I have found this list to be very accurate. http://curezone.com/faq/q.asp?a=25,1787,2836&q=759

Just happened upon your site. I am starting a fast today. My goal is 14 days, followed with 3 weeks of reintroducing foods back into my diet. I would love to find a community of support on this…

I have fasted before, the longest was 10 days. Anissa

     hi Michel
your fasting vblog is always as inspirational as when I first at a glance at it long ago. I’m just out of a 10 days fast(buschinger style ie with the juice of a vegetable soup in the evening) and lots of walking … I started it while on holydays  and was planning to do it for 2 weeks but when I walked in office again, I quickly realised that I would not be able to stand the stress and the work pressure… as I broke the fast I was quite concerned by doing this in a proper way … fasting is a more easy phase than actually going back to food.  I have spent that first week by 2 days of organic grape then 2 or 3 days of fruit salads then added plain mix salads for an other cupple of days..  a lady who sells organic vegetavbles at the market advised me to add somme cooked potatoes to soften things in my stomach . quinoa is soon going to be added. living in france we have a strong tradition of cheese and bread. a rather bad combination for  a good health  ( at beast we should eat cheese without the bread or bread without the cheese) …. one thing I would like to achieve too is bring down the portion of cooked food and up the raw food %  ( 80% raw and 20% cooked seems to be the  good ratio).
the other thing I would like to sstart is  a weekly one day fasting … these seems to be very efficient if done  on a regular basis. any way good luck with your fast and always a pleasure to look at your vids.
