Diane, thanks for guiding my mom's and my yyoga practice in Buenos Aires, Argentina, every morning. My flexibility is really increasing. I couldn't even do the child pose at first, and now I am almost able to do the heroe.

Yoga is a journey. If you can't sit on your heels or can't flatten your neck to the mat then rejoice in the fact that Yoga is here to help you slowly but surely do these things. You don't have to be as flexible or as lean as another Yogi, you take Yoga at the pace that is best for your body and your mind and enjoy the journey. Maybe write down your goals or intentions for what and where you would like your practice to lead and check them in one or two months time and I bet you will see a difference and you will be able to do things that you found hard at first.

You call this easy? I was looking for a beginner routine, but I'm failing to find any. I guess when your joints are tight there's no such thing as a beginner routine. I attempted the whole thing and I looked like a ridiculous caricature of every pose you did so easily. If I'm supposed to adapt my posture in order not to feel pain, I'd just lay there on my back for 43 minutes, because it was pain, pain and more pain from first to last. I couldn't even get into the very first sitting position with folded legs, how in the hell do you sit that way without falling backwards, I couldn't sit on my heels to do the child's pose, the pain was terrible, I don't get it, I'm a guy, I know women are more flexible naturally but I have absolutely no self-esteem left, totally deflated. I'll never learn this, there's no possible way I could get through the years of pain necessary to do even the simplest poses. You call the downward facing dog a pose to relax in, are you serious? Even the corpse pose was misery trying to flatten my neck against the mat, it wouldn't go. And I'm not heavy set, I'm only 165 lbs, I work out, I jog and bike ride, I don't get it, my body's a piece of crap if I can't even sit on my heels, shit.<br>Thanks for the video, it was beautiful even if it made my body feel like the ugly crap it is. At least now I know.
